As crazy as it sounds for me of all people to be typing these words, I will be paddling fiercely on Saturday May 3rd in a Dragon Boat Festival raising money to help preserve fertility in patients who have just received their cancer diagnosis. 

Will you make a gift and support my efforts to raise funds for our local cancer programs and services?

As an ObGyn, every dollar I raise will be used to help pay for the cost of fertility preservation services for young people getting ready to go through chemo, radiation, or surgery.  Think sperm banking or egg freezing.  These are not inexpensive services --  and they can mean the world to young people with a new cancer diagnosis who have not yet completed building their families.
